24 Mar 2012 - Donated 46,000 Kip to the family of a work colleague in exploration department who just passed away (killed in a vehicle accident). See message below. He did not wear his seat belt and had been drinking - this is lesson and message we should all learn. "Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, especially his wife, young child, and 1 month old baby."

"This week we received the tragic news that <name> was killed in a vehicle accident at 8:30pm on Tuesday 20th March, while driving home in the Piin district. He had worked for exploration department for 6 years as a field assistant, and was a popular, enthusiastic and reliable member of the team..... He was a good friend of everyone in the exploration department, and was a keen soccer and pool player. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, especially his wife, young child, and 1 month old baby. We understand that speeding, alcohol, and not wearing a seatbelt were all contributing factors to the accident......Regards, James"
