22 Mar 2012 - Returned wedding envelops to 2 work colleagues in assistance of their newly formed families (about 90,000kip for each of the friends) - congrats!!

15 March 2012 - Visited temple Wat Sisaket to worship and donated 50,000 Kip to the temple (Wat Sisaket is the most ancient temple in Vientiane, the only temple that survived during the war with Siamese. Built in 1818) and also visited temple Wat Simeaung to worship and donated 50,000 Kip to one of the most sacred temples in Laos.

24 Mar 2012 - Donated 46,000 Kip to the family of a work colleague in exploration department who just passed away (killed in a vehicle accident). See message below. He did not wear his seat belt and had been drinking - this is lesson and message we should all learn. "Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, especially his wife, young child, and 1 month old baby."

"This week we received the tragic news that <name> was killed in a vehicle accident at 8:30pm on Tuesday 20^th March, while driving home in the Piin district. He had worked for exploration department for 6 years as a field assistant, and was a popular, enthusiastic and reliable member of the team..... He was a good friend of everyone in the exploration department, and was a keen soccer and pool player. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, especially his wife, young child, and 1 month old baby. We understand that speeding, alcohol, and not wearing a seatbelt were all contributing factors to the accident......Regards, James"
